The Boston Ballhawk Blog
Week 1 vs Raptors
A devastating loss to division rivals New York Raptors gets the Ballhawks off to a 0-1 start. Both teams struggled to put points on the board in the first half. The Raptors were the first ones to get a rhythm going on offsense, managing to take a 21 point lead in the 3rd half. The Ballhawks tried to come back in the 4th quarter, managing to get the lead down to 6 and get possession of the ball with 1 minute left. However the drive would be ended with a key interception, marking Rondo's 8th of the day.
If the Ballhawks hope to get a passing attack going first they need to stop throwing more interceptions than completions.
Final Score : NYC 27 - BOS 21
Week 2 vs Titans
Coming off a divisional loss to the Raptors, the Ballhawks were looking to even their record by coming out of this game with a victory. However Boston was left in the dust by the Pittsburgh Titan's running game. This game was a defensive battle, with each team going 3 and out on consecutive drives. Pittsburgh was the first to put points on the board with a field goal, but Boston fired back with a 50 yard touchdown to KG. This was the only time Boston looked good on the offensive side of the ball, while other drives were flawed by sacks and dropped passes. Rondo managed to throw less interceptions than his debut, but still had trouble maintaining offensive possession.
Final Score : PIT 19 - BOS 14
Week 4 vs Mauraders
THEY WERE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE... monsters on defense. Boston came into this game with no confidence, and in result got demolished. With the only touchdowns of the game being long bomb passes, the Ballhawks could not complete a drive without a turnover. Rondo was really put in his place returning from halftime, turning the ball over on the first play of every drive 4 consecutive times. Whether it was a fumble or interception, the Mauraders knew how to take it to the house. Let's not give all the credit to the defense either, New Jersey picked apart the Boston defense for over 400 yards through the air, while throwing only one interception.
Final Score : NJ 62 - Bos 14
Week 6 vs Tars
Week 8 vs Raptors
After Boston's first loss to New York the team spent hours in the film room studying the Raptors gameplan. Boston knew the key to winning this matchup was the stop Tyson, and that is exactly what they did. With Allen making crucial 3rd down conversions and Perkins with big passing gains, the game came down to a 2 minute drive by Boston to take the lead by a field goal.
Final Score : BOS 27 - NY 24
